Studio EuiMi

Studio Euimi is a project that started as a love letter to my mom. It is an homage to her artistry as a dental technician making custom teeth, retainers, dentures for people and for me all these years. Dentistry is artistry in the most intimate sense. Seeing my mom meticulously hand-coloring my dad’s new teeth was so romantic. I was always drawn to mundane, overlooked, and sometimes grotesque everyday objects growing up in a white suburban town. I had to find beauty in a static environment as an artist. The main ethos of my brand is to create intimacy and nostalgia in awkward adolescence through storytelling of my childhood and I want to evoke feelings of intimacy and nostalgia through my jewelry and the context it necessarily exposes.
